Paseo, a private gated resort-style community in South Fort Myers, has released an expanded Spring tennis program.
"Paseo's tennis facility is among the finest in Lee County and was recently designated a 2008 Distinguished Outdoor Tennis Facility by The American Sports Builders Association (ASBA) and Racquet Sports Industry Magazine," said Milan Fiser, Director of Tennis. "We have an active tennis program for residents and have received a lot of praise from local tennis players for the quality of our facility. In order to accommodate everyone, we have established an expanded schedule of Spring play."
According to Fiser, the new schedule is as follows:
* The United States Tennis Association (USTA) Ladies' Team Play 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0 level, as well as the Adult Mixed doubles over 50 years of age, start the week of April 6.
* Cardio Tennis Training is held each Thursday from 5:30-6:30 starting April 9th at a cost of $10.00.
* Junior Tennis Lessons are held on Saturdays from 9:00-12:00 for ages 7-15. Rates are $10.00/hr.
* Elite Jr. tennis player lessons are held Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30-6:30. Rates vary.
* Adult Clinic for all levels of play are held Saturday from 8:00-9:00 am. and cost $10.00.
* Adult Mixed Round Robin, play is held on Saturdays from 9:00-10:30 am. and cost $10.00.
* Teams are available to form and play from outside of Paseo. Call Director of Tennis Milan Fiser at (239) 253-8802 for rates/availability.
The award-winning Tennis Facility is part of Paseo's Village Center sports complex and includes six lighted lakefront HydroGrid tennis courts and a cabana.
Also open in the Sports Complex is a fishing pier, four bocce ball courts and a basketball court.
Paseo's 26,000 square foot Village Center amenities include a full-service concierge, a bistro, an ice cream parlor, a pub, an internet café, a coffee shop, a 4,000 square foot fitness center, a business center and library, as well as spa services and a 90-seat theatre with a projection room and comfortable elevated seating.
The resort-style pool features a poolside gazebo serving refreshments. Adjacent to the main pool is a large spa, a fitness-oriented lap pool and a children's water playground.
