Florida Gulf Coast University's Renaissance Academy will be offering a winter class schedule at Paseo, a master-planned community of multi-family and single-family homes being developed by Stock Development.
The five weeks of classes will be held each Tuesday from 2:00-3:30 PM from February 10 through March 10. Fees are $35 per class for the public and $20 for Paseo residents. Courses cover a wide range of topics:

PA1232 – U.S. Espionage: Stories of Betrayal
PA1341 – Globalization: A Look at China
PA1233 – History of Pirates in SW Florida
PA1179 – Introduction to Birding
"We are thrilled to have FGCU classes here on-site at Paseo," Claire St. Cyr, Paseo's Director of Events & Concierge Services. "The classes will be held in our Village Center theatre, which is ideally suited for classes like these. It holds 90 people and includes a stage, a projection room with state-of-the-art audio-video equipment, a 16-foot movie quality screen and comfortable elevated seating."
Founded in January 2001, the Renaissance Academy is the University's and region's premier lifelong learning program for adults. Its programs make possible in the present lifelong personal revitalization through learning, creativity, and social engagement.
A wide range of non-credit courses are offered, including topics such as: art, business, computer instruction, ecology and environment, film, history, law and government, life enrichment, literature and language, music and dance, philosophy and religion, piano instruction, psychology and sociology, science and medicine, and U.S. and world affairs.
